About MatthSec

A small corner of the web for security and privacy notes.

MatthSec is a personal project focused on making digital security and privacy accessible. The goal is simple: write about the things that actually matter, without the hype, without the jargon, and without treating readers like they need a degree in computer science to stay safe.

The topics here range from threat basics and password hygiene to self-hosting, encryption, and building a more private home setup. Everything is written from a practical, hands-on perspective. If it cannot be tested and reproduced, it does not get written about.

MatthSec is independent. There is no corporate backing, no affiliate links, and no sponsored content. The opinions and recommendations are the author's own, based on real-world use and testing.

The site is built as a static, privacy-respecting platform. No trackers, no analytics, no third-party scripts. Just HTML, CSS, and the occasional image.
